Horizons K-8 was one of a few schools that was selected to pilot Google Expeditions Pioneer Program. This educational tool allows students to experience collections, scenes or virtual reality panoramas — 360° photospheres, 3D images and video — annotated with details, highlights, and questions that make them easy to integrate into curriculum already used in schools. In the time we had to use this technology we were able to a trip to the Roman Colosseum, the Serengeti, Great Barrier Reef, the moon's surface, the human circulatory system, the human eye, inside a variety of animals, Leonardo da Vinci's inventions. and much more.
