It's already been three days of learning, discovering, and laughing! We've come up with our own unit of measurement during math time, expressed our inspirations through symbols during writing, examined personal artifacts and what meaning they held, explored the work of Andy Warhol through self-portraits in art class with Kara, discovered whether we have what it takes to survive 11,000 years ago as part of an ancient civilization simulation, and of course we've had time to play and eat popsicles! Hopefully by next weekend, I should have the fifth and sixth grade team website "live." The blog portion of this new website will be updated weekly and recap recent activities, display photos, as well as provide a look ahead to planned learning experience. It will also contain forms and other common resources for parents and students in the fifth and sixth grade. The team's hope is that this site will streamline and coordinate the way and manner we communicate some of our information. |
